Endothelial Microscope

The endothelial microscope is a high-resolution, computer-aided special camera for examining the posterior corneal layer, the endothelium. On the basis of the image recordings, this camera analyzes the cell shape, number of cells and surface condition of the endothelial cells. Thus, conclusions can be drawn on the functioning and the general condition of the most important layer of the cornea. The examination is non-invasive.
